State Chapters promote Women Ophthalmulogists objectives at the local level and to encourage more active member participation by making society activities more accessible. Members are encouraged to actively participate in areas of interest and concern to fellow ophthalmulogists. It is important, however, that such activities are limited to the geographic area of the chapter. . It is desirable for chapters to have ease of communications, membership at a minimum of 20 members and defined geographic boundaries. Each state should have its own chapter.
